Borussia Dortmund reportedly want to sign Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer.
According to the London Evening Standard, Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer.
Wimmer, 24, was a virtual unknown in England when Tottenham swooped in the summer of 2015 to sign him from German side Koln, where he had made 70 first-team appearances.

The Austrian international arrived at White Hart Lane as cover for Jan Vertonghen, and started nine Premier League games last season as he filled in admirably when Belgian star Vertonghen picked up an injury.
This term has been even tougher for Wimmer, as he started the season as Tottenham’s fourth-choice centre back due to the emergence of teenager Cameron Carter-Vickers, and he’s started just five games in all competitions this season.

However, Wimmer appears to be attracting major interest, as the London Evening Standard report that Champions League side Borussia Dortmund are keen, along with Southampton and Wolfsburg.
Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund side have conceded 19 goals in 17 Bundesliga games, which is the worst defensive record in the top seven of the Bundesliga table, and Tuchel may be keen on defensive reinforcements.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos looks to be settled, but Neven Subotic’s injury problems coupled with Marc Bartra’s struggles since arriving from Barcelona over the summer mean that a move to bring Wimmer back to Germany would make sense.
Dortmund – who face Benfica in the last 16 of the Champions League – may have to wait though, as the report claims that Tottenham won’t want to let Wimmer go in January, but may be more open to selling the left-footed centre back at the end of the season, with Mauricio Pochettino chasing a top four place again this season.
