The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper suffered a nasty elbow injury today.
According to ESPN, Hugo Lloris might be set for more than two months on the sidelines following his gruesome injury for Tottenham Hotspur today.
The French goalkeeper was stretchered off during the first half of Spurs’ 3-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The long-serving Tottenham star appeared to suffer a serious elbow injury following an awkward landing after fumbling a routine cross which led to the hosts taking the lead.
And according to ESPN, Lloris, who required oxygen at The Amex, might not play for the North Londoners again this year, with sources claiming that he could ‘possibly’ miss more than two months.
The report adds that Lloris will fly to Paris over the weekend and then return to England for his rehab next week.
Injury aside, it’s been a rotten seven days for the former Lyon star, who conceded seven goals in the defeat by Bayern Munich in midweek, after making another error in last week’s win over Southampton.
If it’s true that he’s out for potentially more than two months, Paulo Gazzaniga is the logical replacement in that time.
