According to a report, Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier is open to joining Manchester United.

The Mail have reported that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier is open to joining Manchester United this summer.
Dier has emerged into a top-class player at Spurs over the past couple of seasons, starting 71 of a possible 76 Premier League matches since the 2015-16 campaign.

It was reported by The Telegraph on Friday that the Red Devils had been quoted £50 million for the 23-year-old, who was deployed in central defence at times last term.
And The Mail have claimed that the England international would be willing to join Jose Mourinho’s side on the basis that he would be given a favoured midfield role.
But the report goes on to state that Dier – bought for a bargain £4 million in 2014, say The Telegraph – is not for sale.

The former Sporting Lisbon man lost his defensive midfield role to Victor Wanyama last season, and given how impressive the Kenyan was on his debut season with the Lilywhites, manager Mauricio Pochettino is unlikely to remove him to accommodate Dier.
It puts Pochettino between a rock and a hard place. Fortunately for Tottenham they have Dier tied down for another four years, but it remains to be seen what will happen.
