Barcelona consider Dele Alli an option if Neymar leaves the club.

Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho in the summer transfer window.

Brazilian superstar Neymar could be heading for the exit door, as PSG are closing in on a world record £200 million deal, reports the Mirror.

The report claims that Barcelona officials are increasingly convinced that he wants out, and the Catalan club have already started making short-lists for potential candidates to replace the 77-cap Brazilian international.

Coutinho is reportedly top of their wish list, although Liverpool are determined to keep hold of their star player.

The Mirror adds, that in case Barcelona fail to land Coutinho, the Catalan giants would look at Tottenham’s Dele Alli and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

Now, Alli is an interesting choice from every aspect. Neither he is a skilful dribbler like Coutinho or Hazard, nor he operates from the flank.

The 21-year-old has a contract till 2022, and Spurs have no intention to sell him at the moment.

Alli enjoys a free role behind the striker, a system completely different to how Barcelona plays.

The England international will be flattered to see clubs like Barcelona taking interest in him, but it is hard to see him leaving Spurs any time soon.
