Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose has reportedly been turned down by Barcelona.

Barcelona have turned down the chance to sign Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose after he ‘offered himself’ to the Spanish giants, according to Sport.
The long-serving Spurs star looks set to leave North London this summer after it was reported by The Telegraph that Mauricio Pochettino wouldn’t be bringing him on the pre-season tour of Asia.
The 29-year-old has since been linked to Paris Saint-Germain but Rose has seemingly offered his services to Ernesto Valverde.
But according to Sport, Barca, who need a long-term replacement for Jordi Alba, have rejected the proposal by the Tottenham defender.
The report adds that Rose is considered too old.
It makes sense that the Camp Nou club aren’t interested. After all, if they’re on the hunt for a long-term successor to Alba then the Tottenham left-back – who’s only a year younger – isn’t going to fit the bill.
Still, fans of the North London club won’t be sad to hear Barcelona rejecting him. Rose is a popular figure among Lilywhites supporters and the less options he has, the more chance of him staying.
He joined Tottenham way back in 2007.
