Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign the Leeds United ace.
According to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to reach an agreement for Jack Clarke, but Mauricio Pochettino remains very keen to bring the 18-year-old to north London this summer.
The Mirror reported earlier this month that the Whites are demanding £20 million for Clarke, and as things stand, Spurs are yet to match that valuation.
The teenager really impressed for Leeds last season, and it is clear to see that he has an exciting future ahead of him in the game, but will Tottenham cough up the money required to prise him away from Elland Road?
The Yorkshire Evening Post claims that Spurs’ interest in the Leeds ace is growing, although the two clubs still haven’t reached an agreement as far as a fee is concerned.
Pochettino is well renowned for working with talented youngsters and developing them into stars – you need look no further than Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
And the Leeds winger seems to be the perfect signing for Tottenham, although it could be argued that £20 million is a lot of money for someone who is unproven at the very highest level.
And whether Spurs will cave into the Whites’ demands for Clarke remains to be seen.
