Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly wait until after the Champions League final to make a move for Ryan Sessegnon.

The Sun claimed on Monday that Tottenham Hotspur were close to signing Ryan Sessegnon.

The 18-year-old gem was relegated with Fulham this past season and seems keen to remain in the Premier League.

But according to a new report, Sessegnon to Tottenham isn’t quite a done deal as of yet.

The Evening Standard reported on Tuesday that although Sessegnon is desperate to work with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, the North Londoners won’t make any ‘formal approach’ until after their Champions League final date with Liverpool on June 1.

The report also claims that Pochettino’s reputation for taking young players to the next level is a major incentive for the teenager, who prefers the Lilywhites over Manchester United.

Sessegnon is valued at £40 million, The Evening Standard adds, though Tottenham want to pay closer to £25 million.

He only scored two goals in 35 Premier League outings last term as the West Londoners failed to stay in the top flight.
