AS Monaco have reportedly placed a €50m (£42m) price tag for PSG target Axel Disasi, with Tottenham also rumoured to be interested in signing the 24-year-old centre-back.
According to Foot Mercato, the French giants have turned their attention to Disasi following their failed attempts to sign Inter Milan superstar Milan Skriniar, with Monaco adamant that they won’t sell their prized defender to a league rival for anything less than £42m.
As per the report, PSG could make a late move to sign Disasi with Christophe Galtier intent on adding another centre-back to his squad before the closure of the transfer window, with Tottenham a club also reportedly chasing the former France youth international.
Disasi has been one of Monaco’s best players in the past 12 months, with fans labelling some of his performances as ‘immense’ as the defender played a key role in the Ligue 1 side’s third-place finish last season in the French top-flight, with his displays attracting interest from Tottenham and now PSG.
With just a few days of the window remaining, PSG will have to act fast if they’re to wrap up a deal to sign Disasi, and with Tottenham this Monday announcing that Cristian Romero has signed on a permanent transfer, the Parisian side are seemingly now all alone in their interest for the Monaco star.
Indeed, Tottenham have started the season well defensively, and whilst adding another centre-back will help flesh out Antonio Conte’s options at the back, PSG’s needs will seemingly push the French champions to sign Disasi even with Monaco slapping a £42m price tag on his head.
PSG could push to sign Disasi this week after Monaco reveal

It’s no surprise that Monaco have placed such a high asking price for a defender as important as Disasi, yet for PSG and their infinite well of cash, they could now press on to sign the French centre-back with just days of the window remaining.
With time running out, PSG will have to be quick to wrap up a deal for Disasi, yet with Tottenham seemingly out of the picture, the French giants have some breathing room when it comes to signing the Monaco titan, who he himself could be open to a move to the Ligue 1 champions.
