According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are set to win the race to sign Derby County talent Kaide Gordon.
It’s claimed that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both wanted to sign Gordon, but they appear to have lost out.
Gordon will instead pick a move to Anfield, with Liverpool paying more than £1million to lure him over to Merseyside.
Derby allegedly want the teenager to stay as he is highly rated at Pride Park, but the lure of playing for Liverpool seems to have turned his head.
Gordon, 16, has already made his first-team debut for Derby, having impressed boss Wayne Rooney in training.

Gordon has likely seen the progress of players like Neco Williams, Rhys Williams and Curtis Jones at Anfield, whilst Harvey Elliott is also backed for a big future.
For just over £1million, Liverpool aren’t spending too much on Gordon, and beating United and Spurs has to be very satisfying.
