Premier League title-chasers Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Marcus Forss from London neighbours Brentford, as reported by Eurosport.

We can only assume Moussa Sissoko and Hugo Lloris have spoken in glowing terms about one of the Championship’s most talented young forwards.

After all, it was Forss who scored the opener as Finland stunned France in Paris during the November international break.

A lethal finisher with ice running through his veins, Forss scored for fun during a loan spell at AFC Wimbledon last season and showed no sign of nerves on a far bigger stage while setting Finland on their way to a 2-0 triumph at the home of the world champions.

While Forss is yet to really establish himself as a regular starter in the division below with Brentford, the Bees appear to have struck gold again with the man with a Midas Touch.

Borussia Dortmund have already been linked and, according to Eurosport, Tottenham are now showing an interest.

The 21-year-old has scored seven times in 17 appearances across 2020/21; albeit largely from a wider role.

It remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho sees Forss as a player capable of immediately making an impression in the first-team or whether he would be viewed instead as ‘one for the future’ like two other youngsters snapped up from Championship clubs – Jack Clarke and Ryan Sessegnon.

Forss was released by West Brom in 2017 and also had an unsuccessful spell at Sunderland before Brentford came calling.
