Brighton, Liverpool, Tottenham and West Brom are reportedly keen on Moses Simon.

According to the Daily Mail, Brighton and Hove Albion have failed with a bid for Gent attacker Moses Simon – and Liverpool, Tottenham and West Brom are thought to be lurking.

The Seagulls have strengthened their squad since winning promotion to the Premier League by bringing in the likes of goalkeeper Mat Ryan and playmaker Pascal Gross, but Chris Hughton will need further additions as he looks to keep Brighton in the top flight.

Whilst Brighton have Glenn Murray, Sam Baldock and Tomer Hemed in attack, but adding another forward with real pace to trouble defence could be a smart move for the Seagulls.

The Daily Mail now report that Brighton are pursuing a deal for Gent striker Moses Simon, but have had an initial bid of £8.4million rejected, with the Belgian side looking for a fee of £13million.

It’s added that Liverpool, Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion have also been tracking Simon, with Spurs particularly impressed with his performances against them in the Europa League earlier this year.

Simon, 22, joined Gent from Trencin in 2015, and he was an important player last season with five goals and seven assists to his name, and he has attracted major interest.

A diminutive forward who can play up front or out wide, Simon possesses blistering pace and real trickery on the ball, meaning he could be a versatile attacking option for any Premier League club.

With the £13million asking price though, it remains to be seen whether one of the four interested teams can tempt the Belgians into a deal this summer.
