According to a report from French media outlet L’Equipe, Tottenham are interested in bringing Lyon’s head of recruitment Florian Maurice to north London this summer.

It will be an ironic move, considering the fact that the Frenchman played a pivotal role in bringing Tanguy Ndombele to the Ligue 1 outfit from Amiens last summer.

The 22-year-old signed for Spurs from Lyon earlier this week, and it now seems that the north London outfit are planning another raid on the French club.

French publication L’Equipe claims that Tottenham want to bring Maurice, 45, to the club this summer to head up their recruitment department.

The French newspaper claims that the Frenchman has lost his influence at Lyon since the arrival of Juninho and Sylvinho, and many clubs have expressed an interest in prising him away from the club, including Spurs.

Whether Lyon will be ready to let the 45-year-old leave for Tottenham without a fight, however, remains to be seen.

Judging by Jean-Michel Aulas’s reputation though, that will be extremely unlikely.
