According to the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Everton’s Lucas Digne – but they would only be keen if Danny Rose is in the deal.

Spurs may have reached the Champions League final under Mauricio Pochettino, but they clearly need reinforcements during this summer’s transfer window.

The full back positions need to be a priority, and whilst a right back is an absolute must, it seems that Pochettino is eyeing up a big move for a left back.

The Daily Star claim that Pochettino wants Everton defender Digne this summer, just a year since his move from Barcelona to Goodison Park.

However, it’s stated that Everton would only be interested in a deal if fellow left back Rose is included in a part-exchange, receiving some cash from Tottenham in the process.

The report adds that Everton wanted Rose last summer before signing Digne instead, so they may still hold some interest in signing the England international.

Lucas Digne of Everton scores his team's third goal during the Premier League match between Everton FC and Manchester United at Goodison Park on April 21, 2019 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Digne has been a star, hitting four goals and four assists since joining the club, regaining his spot in the French national squad in the process, and he’d be some addition to the Spurs side.

Yet taking 28-year-old Rose doesn’t seem like something Marcel Brands would do, and talks over a potential swap would be something of a surprise this summer.
