CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs has told Caught Offside that Tottenham want to sign Wolves defender Max Kilman in the summer and he could be keen – after Piero Hincapie signed a new contract at Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
Kilman, 25, has been in superb form for Wolves since breaking into the side under ex-Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo. He has clocked up 91 senior games for Wolves, forming a new partnership with Craig Dawson under Julen Lopetegui.
The London-born defender is a key part of a Wolves side improving under their new manager. He has a contract at Wolves until June 2026. Ex-Wolves man David Edwards recently said that Kilman is “streets ahead” of Harry Maguire.
Jacobs now says that Tottenham are showing interest – after Hincapie penned a new deal at Leverkusen. He also says that Kilman could be tempted by a move at the end of the season. A return to his birthplace may appeal to Kilman.
“Keep an eye on Wolves’ Max Kilman, who Spurs like and could well be on the move at the end of the season. What Antonio Conte really wants, in all positions, is more ‘starter-signings’,” Jacobs told Caught Offside, regarding Kilman.

Kilman would be a wonderful signing, but a much-needed one, too. Tottenham really need to start bringing in some homegrown players in order to comply with European registration. That is Champions League, or Europa League rules.
The centre-back hands Tottenham a player that at 25, is still largely inexperienced but getting better with every minute he plays. Excellent on the ball given his futsal past, he is ideal for the Eric Dier role, or as cover for Cristian Romero.
But it might be that Spurs have to move one or two on, before signing centre-backs. Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez are cover, while Clement Lenglet is only on loan. Joe Rodon remains on the books. Decisions to be made.
