According to Calciomercato, Tottenham are interested in signing Nicolo Zaniolo as his contract negotiations with Roma stall.
What’s the story?
Well, Spurs are believed to be monitoring the 22-year-old’s situation in Rome, as they consider a move for the Italian prodigy.
Calciomercato state that there are many market opportunities open for Zaniolo, as he and Roma struggle to agree on a salary increase.
Juventus are also said to be interested in the attacking midfielder, who has a contract with Roma until June 2024.
Fabio Paratici – an expert in Italian football – has been following the 8-cap Italy international for months, according to Calciomercato.
So far this season, Zaniolo has scored four goals while also providing five assists for his teammates.
He has become a key player for José Mourinho, who is surely a big fan of his versatility – Zaniolo has made eight appearances as a centre-forward this term, as well as 16 on the right flank.
Tottenham could have the next Kaka in Nicolo Zaniolo

You may not have heard much about Zaniolo, and if that is the case, then a comparison may be of use.
Interestingly, the Roma No.22 has been likened to none other than Kaka.
It was Zaniolo’s father who made the claim, as documented by Goal, although the comparisons do not stop there.

Former Inter Primavera coach Stefano Vecchi added that Zaniolo is like Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, as he’s a “midfielder of quality and energy” – bold praise indeed.
After selling Dele Alli to Everton, Antonio Conte has space in his squad for another attacking midfielder.
In that respect, keep an eye on this saga, as a summer move for Zaniolo cannot be ruled out at this stage.
