According to L’Equipe, Mauro Icardi has told Paris Saint-Germain that he wants to leave this summer, with Tottenham keeping tabs on the situation.
The 8-cap Argentina international is valued at €35 million – €40 million (£30 million – £34 million).
PSG will not stand in his way if a suitable offer arrives.
L’Equipe add that Icardi earns €10 million-a-year (£8.6 million) – equating to a weekly salary of £165,384-a-week.
The French news outlet believe that Tottenham will turn to the 28-year-old if Harry Kane ends up leaving north London this summer.
However, Mauricio Pochettino could ruin any potential deal.
How? Well, L’Equipe say that the Argentine has a great relationship with Icardi, and could block his exit from the Parc des Princes.
It’s no surprise that Pochettino loves his fellow Argentine.
Speaking after Icardi scored a hat-trick against Angers, the former Spurs boss praised his No.9, and said that he is always a danger in front of goal whenever he takes to the pitch.

BeIN Sports quote Pochettino as saying: “I’m glad Mauro scored three goals tonight. Anytime he’s on the pitch, he has the opportunity to score. He’s coming back from injury, I’m very happy with what he did.”
Kane is almost irreplaceable, but Icardi wouldn’t be a bad option.
The former Inter Milan striker has netted 197 career goals, including 124 in 219 games for the Italian giants.
He also has 42 assists to his name as well.

Sadly, he has been somewhat outshone by Kylian Mbappé and Neymar at PSG, which is perhaps why he only has 12 goals this season.
Nevertheless, when he’s the main man – like he was at the San Siro – Icardi is absolutely lethal.
Whoever ends up replacing José Mourinho would surely love to keep Kane.
However, Icardi wouldn’t be a bad welcoming present from Daniel Levy.
