Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs heading a shortlist of suitors, as Jesse Lingard eyes a transfer away from Manchester United in January, as per ESPN.
The England international is out of contract at Old Trafford next June and has turned down one offer to renew. He has no interest in re-starting talks with the Red Devils, either, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has continually overlooked the 28-year-old so far this season.
Lingard has only featured for 154-minutes over eight appearances from a possible 15 in all competitions this term. Instead, sitting out seven as an unused substitute. He also missed Manchester United’s 5-1 rout over Leeds in August after testing positive for Covid-19.

Lingard is determined to now find regular first-team football to try and win his place in the England squad back. He could even ask to leave Old Trafford on loan in the January market.
Gareth Southgate recalled the 32-cap maestro earlier in the year after an impressive loan with West Ham last term. He struck a staggering nine goals and five assists in 16 games.
West Ham remain interested in taking the Red Devils product back to the London Stadium in January. But face competition from Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton, plus Barcelona and AC Milan, in any transfer for Lingard to leave Manchester United in mid-season.

Tottenham to revive transfer interest in Manchester United’s Lingard?
Tottenham had explored a loan transfer for Lingard last January when he left Manchester United for West Ham, per talkSPORT. He chose east London over north at the time, and Eurosport recently claimed he would likely pick the Hammers over Newcastle this winter.
Lingard enjoyed his time at the London Stadium last season, and West Ham’s start to the term has impressed him. They sit third in the Premier League and are unbeaten in Europe.
The Irons also eliminated both Manchester United and City from the EFL Cup. So, they may pose a threat to Tottenham if the Red Devils grant Lingard’s wish for a transfer in January.
Manchester United could also sell Lingard in January to avoid the Tottenham target leaving on a free transfer. The Sun report they will also only want £10m, despite requesting £25m this summer, given his £110k-a-week contract expires in eight-months’ time.
