The Spain Under-19 international is reportedly on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar.
Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Celta Vigo midfielder Pape Cheikh Diop, according to ESPN.
However, the website claims there has been no bid as yet from Spurs for the 19 year old.
Pape made 27 appearances last season – his first in Celta’s senior team – scoring once in a 3-1 win against Granada last November, and signed a new four year contract with the Galicians in February.
The Senegal born player, who has previously appeared at right back, has also won 10 caps for Spain’s Under 19s.
ESPN reports that Spurs are close to concluding their first summer signing in the form of Estudiantes centre back Juan Foyth, who can also play in Pape’s preferred defensive midfield position.
It is claimed the Argentine side want £15 million for the player, also 19, with Tottenham indicating they will not exceed £10 million.
Should Tottenham follow up their interest with a bid for Pape Cheikh Diop?
