According to The Express, Frederic Kanoute has told Tottenham Hotspur that Patson Daka won’t be leaving RB Salzburg this summer.

It’s claimed that Spurs were keen to sign Daka, as Jose Mourinho attempts to find a new striker to bring to Spurs.

However, agent Kanoute told his former club that Daka isn’t leaving Salzburg this summer, and Spurs will have to look elsewhere.

Daka, 21, smashed 27 goals and 12 assists in 45 games for Salzburg last season, particularly excelling after Erling Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund.

The Zambian ace has started this season well too, scoring five goals in two games to enhance his reputation even further.

Daka is a striker with blistering pace, but he has shown outstanding end product in Austria, not just with goals but assists too.

Tottenham may hope their links to their former striker Kanoute could help land Daka, but they’ve had no luck this summer.

Daka could be one for Spurs to keep an eye on moving forward, but Spurs are likely to go in another direction with Mourinho desperate for a striker now.
