Italian outlet CMW claim that Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici wants to sell Bryan Gil to Juventus in order to half the permanent fee required to sign Dejan Kulusevski – with the Swedish wonderkid still only on loan at Spurs.
Kulusevski, 22, joined Tottenham on an 18-month loan in January. The move included a permanent option, which increases as time goes on. The Sweden international is expected to sign for Tottenham before his loan deal expires.
The Evening Standard report that Spurs paid Juventus a fee of £8.3million to sign Kulusevski on loan. They had the chance to make it permanent in the summer, for £24.9million. Next summer, it will go up to £29.1million.
But Paratici is looking to slice that, near enough down the middle. He wants to sell Gil to Juventus – with the Spurs talent valued in the region of £13million, according to CMW. That would almost halve Kulusevski’s permanent fee.

It is harsh on Gil. He has rarely been given a chance by Tottenham and Conte since he arrived during Nuno Espirito Santo’s reign. His loan at Valencia saw him impress but ultimately saw him fail to score a single goal during the loan.
Gil has shown glimpses, but not enough to break into the side past the likes of Son Heung-min and Richarlison. Kulusevski, too. So, for the Spurs attacker’s career, it might be best that he moves on to pastures new.
Is Juventus the answer? Arguably, he will be stuck in a similar boat to the one he is in at Tottenham. But Juventus do have an ageing side and that might see Gil, over time, break into the Spurs side.
