A report from the Daily Mail today claims that Spurs will discover today if their proposal to play 27 games with a full 90,000 capacity at Wembley Stadium next season has been approved by officials.
Tottenham are due to move into their new 61,000 capacity state-of-the-art arena for the start of the 2018/19 campaign, and will have to play all of their home matches at a temporary venue next term.
And the Daily Mail report that Brent Council’s planning committee will discuss Spurs’ proposal today.
The newspaper claims that the north London club are quietly confident of their request to play 27 home matches at Wembley at full capacity being approved.
If they are successful in gaining permission to play the 27 games with a 90,000 capacity, they could face a scenario later on in their campaign where there is a decreased capacity of around 50,000.
There are 19 home Premier League games, and presuming they qualify for the Champions League – three home European group stage games.

So that is already 22, and depending on their FA Cup and EFL Cup draws, they could go on to exceed the 27 game agreement.
Their initial request to play 36 games (the highest number of home games they could possibly play) at full capacity was rejected, so it is believed that the amount of 27 will be a reasonable compromise.
In the last 10 years, Tottenham have had more than 27 games on three occasions, so it is fair to say that it’s a possibility for that to happen again next term.
And if that were the case, as things stand, Wembley would only open the lower and middle tiers, which would add up to a maximum attendance of 50,835.
