According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are on the brink of signing Southampton ace Pierre-Emille Hojbjerg for £15million.
It’s claimed that Spurs have agreed a deal in principle for Hojbjerg, with progress being made during talks between the two sides.
Right back Kyle Walker-Peters is heading to Southampton in an entirely separate deal, which will cost Saints £12million.
Walker-Peters spent a strong loan spell at Southampton in the second half of the season, and the two deals are expected to be done within days.
This essentially means that Spurs are paying just £3million plus Walker-Peters for Hojbjerg, which seems like a very smart deal for Mourinho and co.
Hojbjerg has the grit and determination that Mourinho is looking for in holding midfield, whilst he brings leadership as a former Saints captain and Premier League experience.

The move has been a long time coming, and Hojbjerg really nailed his colours to the mast by telling Everton that he wanted to join Spurs instead.
It now seems that Mourinho is set to land his man, and complete Tottenham’s first signing of the summer without breaking the bank.
