The Portuguese midfielder could be on the move this summer and Tottenham Hotspur have been thrown into the mix by the Spanish press.

According to a report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have received three offers so far this summer for midfielder Andre Gomes, rejecting them all.
At first glance that is the end of the story, but Tottenham Hotspur fans may be interested to know that they have been thrown into the mix as a potential suitor, although the report cannot settle on exactly which North London club has made the third bid for the former Benfica man.
Mundo Deportivo claims Juventus are definitely one of the trio, along with Manchester United and either Tottenham or Arsenal.
Perhaps they have heard that an offer has come in from North London, or perhaps it is just more paper talk in a transfer window that is already growing tiresome with more than two months still to run.
Gomes has a contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2021, having only arrived from Valencia last summer.
The 23-year-old old featured 47 times for the Catalan club last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process, but he failed to nail down a regular starting spot and often came off the bench.

That said, he is clearly a big part of Barcelona’s plans going forward and if they have rejected three offers for the midfielder he is unlikely to be going anywhere this summer.
Tottenham continue to be linked with a whole host of players across the field yet for now their manager Mauricio Pochettino has failed to secure any of his primary targets.
Maybe he was never interested in Gomes and it is just guesswork on the part of the Spanish press, but even if he is, it looks like he will have to turn his attention elsewhere now.
