According to RMC Sport, Tottenham Hotspur would like to make a last-gasp attempt to hijack Napoli’s deal for Victor Osimhen.

It’s claimed that Lille striker Osimhen has chosen a move to Napoli as things stand, with a huge deal now believed to be close.

Napoli would be paying a staggering €81million (£73.5million) for Osimhen, and they want a deal done as soon as possible – possibly by today.

That’s because two Premier League clubs, Tottenham and a mystery side, are hoping to hijack the move at the last minute.

They believe there is time to change Osimhen’s mind, but it’s stated that only a last-minute financial disagreement would prevent him joining Napoli.

The Nigerian hitman has been a star for Lille since joining from Charleroi last summer, smashing hitting 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances.

Just 21, Osimhen looks set for a huge future, and whilst he would be a great partner for Harry Kane, Spurs signing him seems unlikely.

The global pandemic has ripped into Tottenham’s budget, and a £73.5million deal surely isn’t in Daniel Levy’s plans right now, especially with no major sales looking imminent.
