According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur have told Arkadiusz Milik that they would like to sign him for free next summer.
Spurs are about to sign Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius, bolstering Jose Mourinho’s attack by signing the Brazilian on loan with a view to a permanent move.
That should bring Tottenham’s striker hunt to an end, but Spurs may still have other players in mind for the long-term given that Vinicius is only on loan.
It’s now claimed that Spurs still want Napoli striker Milik after weeks of speculation, but are taking a long-term approach to the Pole.
Spurs have allegedly indicated to Milik’s agent that they would be interested in signing the striker on a free transfer when his Napoli deal ends next summer.
A host of other clubs are also keen on similar deals, with a general feeling that Milik is now worth waiting for on a free transfer rather than paying up for immediately.

The 26-year-old hit 34 goals in his last two seasons with Napoli, showing his ability as a goalscorer – something Tottenham need in order to help Harry Kane.
Vinicius has the chance to take Tottenham out of the market for a striker, but Spurs allegedly plotting a free transfer move for Milik leaves the situation open for change come 2021.
