The possible removal of Kim Min-jae’s release clause could spell bad news for Spurs
La Gazzetto dello Sport have reported that Aurelio De Laurentiis aims to remove the release clause worth £45 million in the in-demand centre-back’s contract, which was set to be valid in 2023 from 1st-15th July for any clubs outside Italy.

It has been stated that the figure was set to increase in accordance with the size of the interested party, but that could well be a thing of the past if Kim Min-jae decides to extend his contract till 2028.
Initially, Napoli had reportedly decided to agree with the player’s desire to add a release clause in his contract, just to ensure they bring him through the door, as he was believed to have an agreement with Rennes as well.
Tottenham should have got the deal done when Mourinho said so
While Jose Mourinho has often been slammed for letting go of the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah during his time at Chelsea, the legendary coach’s eye for talent generally tends to be sharp.
Unfortunately for Tottenham, they may have to pay through their noses if they wish to sign Kim Min-Jae in the future.
