Less than a month after being linked, Tottenham are to miss out on Napoli defender to Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to miss out on Napoli centre-back Faouzi Ghoulam, with Tuttosport reporting he is close to moving to Atletico Madrid.
Ghoulam has an offer on the table and hopes to clinch a £17 million move to Atletico at the end of the season.
The Algerian’s contract expires in June 2018, and had been linked to Tottenham just a month ago.
Calciomercato reported in March that Tottenham had shown ‘strong interest’ in the centre-back and submitted an enquiry.
Chelsea and Arsenal were both previously credited with interest in the 26-year-old.

Ghoulam moving to Spurs would have cast doubt over the future of defender Kevin Wimmer, who has not been in favour this season under Mauricio Pcohettino, even as a first choice back-up, with Eric Dier preferred.
Wimmer could still move on but it would be because Spurs are looking elsewhere, with their pursuit of Ghoulam doomed to failure.
