According to Tuttosport, Inter Milan could now sell Tottenham target Milan Skriniar to PSG in January.

Why Tottenham could miss out on Milan Skriniar

Well, the Italian news outlet believe discussions over a new contract for the Slovakia international still haven’t been productive.

Tuttosport claim that Inter Milan are worried about losing their No.37 on a free transfer when his current terms expire in July, and are therefore ready to cash in on him this winter if no agreement can be found over a new deal.

The update comes after Il Messaggero claimed that Antonio Conte dreams of bringing Skriniar to Tottenham.

Tuttosport add that Inter Milan will consider selling the 27-year-old to PSG for a reduced fee in the region of €20m – €25m (£18m – £22m) in January if contract talks continue to falter.

Inter Milan are said to be planning a meeting with Skriniar after tonight’s clash with Barcelona in Group C of the Champions League.

If that conversation proves to be unfruitful, and the situation remains the same after the World Cup, then it seems Inter Milan will cash in on the Slovakian.

So far this season, Skriniar has made 12 appearances in all competitions for the Italian giants.

Tottenham have Milan Skriniar opportunity

At first, many would doubt that Tottenham can snatch Skriniar from the clutches of PSG.

The Parisians can offer him the chance to play alongside Sergio Ramos at the back, with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar ahead of him up top, while the personal terms on offer will surely be huge given their wealth.

However, Le Parisien believe Mbappe wants to leave Paris after falling out with the French giants, and Luis Campos – Director of Football at the Parc des Princes – also wants to depart.

Therefore, with plenty of uncertainty at PSG right now, that could represent an opportunity for Tottenham to take advantage and convince Skriniar to join a more settled side.
