Tottenham Hotspur are willing to spend £50 million to bring Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucoure in from Watford this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino manager

According to a report from The Sun, Tottenham are planning to try and land Watford pair Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucoure for a total of £50 million in the summer.

Richarlison has been hugely impressive during his first year in the Premier League. The Sun reports that he cost the Hornets £13 million, but he has proven to be more than worth the money.

The 20-year-old has scored five times and provided four assists in the top flight this season, which is a fantastic return for a young winger enjoying his first year in the English game.

Meanwhile, Doucoure has been similarly exceptional this season. He currently tops Watford’s scoring charts in the league, with seven goals to his name from the centre of midfield. Unsurprisingly, the pair are attracting attention from some of their divisional rivals.

The Sun reports that Tottenham are willing to pay £50 million to sign the pair from the Vicarage Road outfit in the summer as Mauricio Pochettino looks to boost his squad following what looks set to be another very encouraging season for Spurs.

£50 million would be a steal

In today’s game, paying £50 million for two players who have scored a combined 12 goals and provided six assists would surely be something of a steal for Tottenham, given that Doucoure’s primary job is in the middle of the park and his teammate should get even better in the coming years.

Therefore, it seems highly unlikely that Watford will be too happy about the idea of accepting the bid, and it would be absolutely no surprise if they made it clear to Daniel Levy that if they want Richarlison and Doucoure, they will need to increase their offer.
