Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has picked up an injury on international duty, the Daily Mail report.
Spurs had been hoping to make it through the break with all their players at full health, but it seems that Jose Mourinho’s side’s wish has not come true.
Dier is said to have picked up a hamstring issue, which means that he may not be available to play for England against Denmark this evening.
While the issue is described as a ‘minor’ one, with Tottenham set to face West Ham United in just five days, the central defender’s availability for that match could now be in question.
Dier has started regularly for Spurs this term, so his absence at the weekend would be a blow.
And while there is no confirmation that Dier will miss the contest, it is hardly ideal preparation for him to be needing treatment so close to the game.

It caps off what hasn’t been the best international break for Dier, after he gave away a penalty in England’s 2-1 win over Belgium in the Three Lions’ last match.
If Dier is to be sidelined for Tottenham’s next game it seems most likely that Toby Alderweireld will step into their defence alongside Davinson Sanchez.
