Tottenham have long been linked with a move for Napoli midfielder Diawara.

Transfer Market Web claim Tottenham Hotspur have made an “opening bid” for Napoli sensation Amadou Diawara ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old has long been a target for the north Londoners who are expected to be in the market for a new central midfielder this summer, with doubts surfacing over the future of Mousa Dembele.
The Belgian has just one more season remaining on his contract under Mauricio Pochettino, and his recent performances will have surely affected his chances of earning an extended stay at Tottenham.

A young central midfielder is expected to be brought in to replace the potential loss of Dembele this summer, and it appears that Spurs are looking to land the former Bologna midfielder just two years after he joined Napoli.
Diawara has been a regular fixture of Napoli’s title challenge to Juventus, making 27 appearances in all competitions this summer despite his tender age. Napoli are six points behind Juve, with only two league games to play.

Diawara has indeed been linked to Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus, but it is believed that Spurs view the midfielder as a “main target” and their reported desire to land their man could be what pushes them over the line.
The Guinea-born star has three years left on his contract at Napoli but he may opt to leave Italy for a chance to shine in the Premier League, with Tottenham making serious strides to land their man.
