Tottenham Hotspur retain an interest in Arkadiusz Milik, and could move for him if their bid for Carlos Vinicius doesn’t go through, Football London suggest.
Tottenham have been strongly linked with Milik throughout the summer so far, but it seems that Vinicius is now their top target to arrive as their new striking option.
Vinicius was a prolific scorer for Benfica in Portugal last term, and Jose Mourinho feels he could be a good fit, as he looks to add cover for Harry Kane.
Tottenham are now looking to seal a deal which would see Vinicius join on loan, with an option to buy him next season.
Spurs are still negotiating with Benfica over the deal and while they are said to be confident of completing a transfer, the talks are at a ‘delicate’ stage, according to Football London.

That means that Tottenham still have a contingency plan if things go wrong, and Milik, who was described as ‘excellent’ by Polish legend Zbigniew Boniek (TMW), apparently remains on their wishlist.
Milik has just been offered to Spurs again, with Napoli keen to cash in on him.
And if Spurs’s bid for Vinicius does fail at the last moment, then it could be that Spurs step up their chase for Milik again.
Either Milik and Vinicius would surely be a welcome addition to Tottenham’s squad, if they were to arrive.
Kane has carried the goalscoring burden for Spurs on his own for far too long, and Tottenham’s need for an alternative option up-front has been very evident for well over a year now.
