Tottenham Hotspur have so far failed to meet Foyth’s club’s demands, according to reports.
It is claimed that PSG have agreed to meet the Argentine side’s demands of £9 million up front, with Spurs said to be willing to offer a £6.25 million down payment, with the remaining £2.75 million performance related.
But The Sun reports that Tottenham would be Foyth’s preferred choice, if Spurs can settle upon a payment plan with the 19-year-old’s employers.
It is claimed that Foyth is keen to work under Tottenham’s Argentine head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who was a centre-back himself during his playing days.
And he is said to believe he would have a better chance of playing regular first team football in London than he would at the Parc des Princes.
Despite being recognised as a central defender or defensive midfielder, The Sun goes onto claim that Foyth is wanted by Pochettino “as back-up to Kieran Trippier following Kyle Walker’s £50 million move to Manchester City”.
Should Tottenham Hotspur pay up to sign Foyth ahead of Paris Saint-Germain?
