The Chronicle report that the agents of Tottenham star Dele Alli have proposed a move to Newcastle to the player himself. It is unclear if Dele is open to joining the Toon – but Newcastle are seemingly intent on a move.

Dele, 25, has failed to make a Premier League appearance since the turn of the year. An unused substitute against Watford and Leicester, Dele was left out of the matchday squad that lost 2-0 to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Along with Dele, Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele were also missing from the squad – with the Evening Standard reporting that Tottenham are ‘desperate’ to offload all three in order to bring in some new signings.

The latest report claims that with Newcastle interested – Dele’s agents have proposed the idea of a move to Tyneside to Dele himself. Dele is represented by the same agency that looks after Chris Wood, and Kieran Trippier.

Dele to Newcastle: A loan to Tyneside suits Tottenham star

In fact, it is a move that suits all. Newcastle get themselves a player that is capable of magic in Premier League football. The Toon need creativity and without a doubt, the England international is more than capable.

He would get game time, which is just what Dele needs. He will be chomping at the bit for a fresh start – a place to play football at the top level again. For Spurs, they could get a player back in the summer raring to go.

That, or it raises his price tag again – and Spurs can request a larger price for his services, especially with Newcastle potentially a buying club. It is a move that suits all parties and has got to be done before the deadline.
