Son Heung Min is trying to convince Tottenham Hotspur to take the plunge on fellow South Korean Kim Min-Jae but, according to 90Min, Jose Mourinho’s side won’t pay more than £10 million for his signature.
These days, Spurs can give the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United a run for their money when it comes to their popularity in East Asia.
And if the so-called ‘Korean Virgil van Dijk’ links up with Asian sensation Son in North London, expect to see the Taegukgi flying higher than ever at Tottenham’s home games this season.
90Min claims that Tottenham have already had a bid rejected for Kim Min-Jae, a 6ft 3ins giant of a central defender compared to Liverpool’s number four due to his huge frame and superb passing range.
What’s more, they are not willing to spend a penny more than £10 million for a Beijing Guoan defender who, as it stands, is completely unproven in Europe, let alone England.
Tottenham have asked Son for his view on the situation and, as you might expect, arguably the finest footballer in the history of Korea would love to be joined at Spurs by one of his good friends.

But it remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho, Daniel Levy and co are won over by Son’s recommendation.
Funds are tight at Tottenham these days, with the ongoing financial fall-out arriving at a time in which the club are under pressure to pay off their shiny new stadium.
With that in mind, it is hard to imagine Spurs finding another centre-back for as little as £10 million.
