Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo report that Tottenham attacker Bryan Gil is desperate to return to his home country and La Liga – with five clubs said to be interested in landing the winger, including former side Sevilla ahead of January.
Gil, 21, has only managed six appearances for Tottenham this season – all of which have come from the bench. His total number of minutes on the pitch equates to just 73 – spread across six games. Spurs have players back from injury.
Lucas Moura, Deki Kulusevski and Son Heung-min are fit again after spells on the sidelines. Richarlison has an injury but even with the Brazilian out, Gil is simply warming the bench at Spurs. He needs a move in January, back to Spain.
It is reported by ED that Gil is ‘crazy’ about a return to Spanish football. That is, after spending the second half of last season on loan at Valencia. Gennaro Gattuso’s side are keen on re-signing Gil. Old club Sevilla are also one of five.
Mallorca, Cadiz and Real Sociedad make up the other clubs looking at a move for Gil. Whether any of those clubs are interested in a permanent deal remains to be seen. But it might be that Spurs include a permanent clause for Gil.

Tottenham attacker Gil desperate to return to his home country
He deserves a loan move. Gil needs game time at this crucial stage of his development at top-tier level and he is simply not getting that at Spurs. Perhaps, his lack of game time has even been harsh. Antonio Conte prefers proven players.
Tottenham spent £21.6million and included Erik Lamela in a deal to sign Gil. Largely touted as a future Spain star. But he is not going to reach those heights at Spurs if things continue the way they have been. A loan back to Spain then.
Which of the five? Valencia fans love him after his loan there, while he knows Sevilla. But he needs to start matches and it is up for debate if he would do so at either club. He certainly would at Mallorca and Cadiz. Sociedad are keen, too.
