Tottenham Hotspur may have to fend off big-money offers for one of their star names.
A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that Paris Saint-Germain are considering a sensational £50m move for Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli next summer.
The 20-year-old has quickly gone from being one of the brightest prospects in the country to one of the best players in the Premier League, and it appears that that has not gone unnoticed by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Tottenham’s Dele Alli celebrates
The Mirror reports that the Ligue 1 side and Real Madrid have been keeping tabs on the former MK Dons starlet, and the former are readying the eye-watering bid for next summer.
What may concern Tottenham fans is the fact that the Mirror suggests that PSG are optimistic about their chances of landing the midfielder – who they have scouted extensively in recent times – especially as they can offer a significantly better contract than the one he currently has at White Hart Lane, for which he earns £60,000 a week.
Though there is plenty to be optimistic about regarding Mauricio Pochettino’s team, news of PSG’s interest could have perhaps not come at a worse time for Tottenham.
The Mirror reports that Unai Emery’s men are determined to become serious contenders for the Champions League, and with Spurs exiting the competition this past week, Alli would certainly be forgiven for having his head turned, even slightly, by the French outfit’s plans for the future.
