According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur don’t expect to make more than ‘two or three’ significant signings this summer.

Spurs haven’t made a single signing since bringing in winger Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day in January 2018, famously failing to land anyone last summer.

Mauricio Pochettino has once again worked wonders with the tools at his disposal, but really needs some backing this summer, and fans are expecting additions, especially with the new stadium now done and dusted.

However, The Telegraph report that Spurs sources claim only expecting ‘two or three’ significant first-team signings are expected this summer, with Pochettino again charged with the task of battling against teams with bigger budgets.

It’s again noted that chairman Daniel Levy is prepared to sanction a £30million move for Everton loanee Andre Gomes, whilst an enquiry has been made about signing Nice right back Youcef Atal too.

Those would be considerable additions in areas Spurs need some help, but Pochettino is also thought to want an attacking signing, with spending potentially towards £100million.

Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen could go, which may help the transfer kitty, but any Spurs fans expecting a signing spree may be disappointed.
