According to Voetbal24, Tottenham are set to negotiate the signing of exciting Anderlecht forward Paul Mukairu.
The 21-year-old is also wanted by AS Roma and Bayer Leverkusen, but Tottenham are said to strongly believe in the attacker’s potential and want to sign him.
Voetbal24 lead with a headline which states Spurs and Anderlecht ‘are going to negotiate’ over the signing of Mukairu, which sounds fairly encouraging.
The Belgian news outlet adds that the north Londoners would like to pay more than €5 million (£4.3 million) for the Nigerian.
An earlier report from the Sunday Mirror suggested that Spurs might be able to sign Mukairu for just £4 million, so these two stories are roughly on the same page in terms of the figures.

So, what type of player is the Abuja-born forward?
Well, Score Nigeria analysed his efforts for Anderlecht, where they mentioned how he’s inspired by Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He also idolises Thierry Henry.

Score Nigeria then mention that it’s no surprise the Arsenal legend is a hero for Mukairu, as they see similarities in the pair’s game.
Score Nigeria mention that his ‘natural flair’ and desire to entertain supporters are comparable traits to the iconic Arsenal and France striker.
In that respect, if Tottenham can get this deal over the line for under £10 million, it sounds like it has the potential to be a bargain.
