The 22-year-old Dane will reportedly be rewarded for his fine form.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to double Christian Eriksen’s wages, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Mirror claim the White Hart Lane outfit will offer the midfielder a new contract in light of his stellar form this season.

Eriksen is reported to currently be on a £32,000-a-week deal and the 22-year-old will take home twice that should negotiations with the north London side go to plan.

As Opta stats show, Eriksen is Tottenham’s second-top scorer in the Premier League. The only man to have scored more goals than the Dane – Harry Kane – has already been rewarded with a new contract this term.

What’s more, Eriksen’s goals have come at vital times for Spurs, with the 22-year-old netting a number of late winners so far this season.

Despite registering just one assist, meanwhile, the Tottenham star has also created no less than 54 chances this campaign.

Eriksen’s value to the north London side, then, is under no dispute. And tying someone down to a new deal has rarely made more sense – even if it comes at a cost of double the wages.
