The Tottenham Hotspur star has earmarked as a potential target for Real Madrid.

Following reports linking Dele Alli with a sensational switch to Real Madrid, Sky Sports are now suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur have decided that they are not prepared to sell the 20-year-old for any price.

The Daily Mirror recently reported that Los Blancos were weighing up a summer swoop for the former MK Dons man following his fine start to the season, and, perhaps more worryingly for Spurs, the attacking midfielder would find it difficult to turn down the chance to move to the Bernabeu.

However, Tottenham appear to be determined to keep the decision out of the youngster’s hands, as Sky Sports reports that the Premier League side are not prepared to sell one of their brightest stars.

And with the Mirror reporting that Alli only signed a six-year deal at White Hart Lane in September of last year, it appears that Tottenham find themselves in a strong position to reject the La Liga side’s potential advances.

With Real Madrid’s interest now well known, it would arguably be a major triumph for the club if they were able to keep Alli in their squad over the coming years.

The England international has already become one of the best players in the country, and should only get better over the next few years, so being able to deny Madrid the chance to sign him will send a great message to potential targets about the direction the club hope to go in.
