According to a report from Tutto Mercato Web, Tottenham Hotspur scouted Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia on Monday – and remain keen on signing team-mate Jeison Murillo.

Inter took on Sampdoria at the San Siro on Monday evening, with Danilo D’Ambrosio giving the hosts the lead before in-demand Patrik Schick and a late Fabio Quagliarella penalty handed Sampdoria a 2-1 win.

Whilst Schick is bound to be the subject of summer transfer bids after a superb goalscoring return this season, but it seems that other players on the pitch were also being monitored for possible moves.

Tutto Mercato Web report that Tottenham sent a scout to the San Siro to watch the game, with Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia believed to be a player of interest to Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Kondogbia, 24, was highly rated during his time with Sevilla and Monaco, but the French international midfielder has seen his development stall somewhat in Italy, following a 2015 move to Inter.

Tall, powerful and capable of scoring stunning long-range goal – as Arsenal found out two years ago – Kondogbia still has time to fulfil his potential, and Spurs seemingly agree having scouted him on Monday.

Spurs may have been a little disappointed then, when Kondogbia was only named on the bench – but he did some on at half time as Inter threw away their 1-0 lead and lost 2-1, with Kondogbia unable to help his side claim a victory.

The report adds that, whilst he was an unused substitute for Inter, Spurs remain keen on signing Colombian centre back Jeison Murillo this summer, with Pochettino seemingly interested in adding another central defender to his ranks, and a double raid on Inter could be on the cards this summer.
