Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on Patrick Schick.
Patrik Schick challenges
Tottenham Hotspur continue to show interest in Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick but face competition.
Tuttomercatoweb report a Tottenham scout was present spotted at Sampdoria’s 1-1 draw with Chievo this weekend, along with an observer from German side Borussia Dortmund.
Schick has scored 13 goals this season in all competitions for Sampdoria, with 11 coming in Serie A.
He has only made 12 starts, with a number of his goals coming from a cameo role from the substitute’s bench.
Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen hasn’t delivered
It is this which could be catching Tottenham’s eye, with Spurs requiring a quality alternative to star man Harry Kane, but one who is comfortable not starting and still being able to contribute.
He did not score in the draw with Chievo which he started, although has netted four goals in his last seven appearances and one assist.
While the Czech Republic forward was unheard of at the start of the campaign, at just 21 he is fast becoming one of Europe’s most talked about young talents and would fit the profile of player Tottenham are looking to add to their squad.
