Spurs and Arsenal are reportedly keen on Youssef Msakni after a glittering 2017-18 campaign.
Msakni, 27, suffered a cruciate ligament injury prior to the World Cup, subsequently missing the 2018 World Cup and England’s 2-1 win over the African side on Monday evening.
Tunisia manager Nabil Maâloul described the loss of Msakni as like losing Barcelona’s Lionel Messi: “It’s as if Argentina lost Messi.”
But Msakni has seemingly done enough to catch the attention of Europa’s biggest sides despite not showing off his talents on the world stage of this summer’s tournament in the World Cup.
The attacker, who plays for Qatari Stars League side Al Duhail, scored 25 goals in just 24 games – as well as laying on 15 assists in what has been a fantastic 17-18 campaign.
Msakni is yet to play in Europe, playing for Tunisian side Tunis before moving to Dunail. He has three years remaining on his contract with the top-tier side, but the lure of Spurs, Arsenal and Marseille will surely prove hard to ignore.
