According to a report from Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf, Tottenham remain keen on signing PSV Eindhoven ace Steven Bergwijn, although they will have to pay in excess of £30 million in order to bring him to north London.

The 21-year-old has been in scintillating form for PSV this season, racking up 12 goals and 13 assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for Mark van Bommel’s side.

Bergwijn is widely considered to be one of the most exciting young talents in world football, and if he continues to improve, he will surely go on to become one of the truly elite players on the continent.

He seems to have all of the tools needed to move on to a bigger club than PSV, but quite where he will be plying his trade next season rains to be seen.

Dutch publication De Telegraaf claims that Bergwijn is attracting attention from Tottenham, but the north London outfit will face competition from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan.

They also claim that the Dutch side will not consider selling the 21-year-old winger for anything else than €34 million (£30 million).

In today’s day and age, however, that would represent excellent value for money for Tottenham, and Mauricio Pochettino should not hesitate to bring the Holland international to north London.
