Tottenham Hotspur have rejected AC Milan’s first offer for Serge Aurier, Sky Sports report.
Milan have actually formally made an offer to Tottenham for the right-back now, but it is said to be nowhere near Daniel Levy’s valuation.
Spurs have swiftly knocked back the bid, but it is likely that they are hoping that the Italian side come back with an improved offer soon.
Spurs seem to be intent on selling Aurier this summer, but Levy always wants to maximise the money he gets for Tottenham’s players.
Football London have reported how Matt Doherty is set to arrive from Wolves soon, and the Irishman will surely take Aurier’s starting spot in Tottenham’s team.

Aurier’s departure could actually effectively pay for Doherty’s transfer, but Milan will need to up their offer to get a deal done.
Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be circling, so Spurs may be hoping that a bidding war starts.
If Aurier does leave Tottenham his departure is unlikely to cause too much disappointment around the North London club.
The Ivorian showed flashes of quality during his time at the club, but was too error prone to be relied upon, and Doherty should be a significant upgrade for next season.
