Tottenham Hotspur don’t want to risk missing out on Feyenoord boss Arne Slot after snubbing Erik ten Hag in 2021.
Spurs are seeking a new manager after parting ways with Antonio Conte last month.
Cristian Stellini’s interim spell in charge was a disaster and Ryan Mason is now in charge until the summer.
That buys Daniel Levy some time to find a replacement and Feyenoord boss Arne Slot looks like a frontrunner.
That’s according to ESPN, who report that Slot is now a ‘serious contender’ to become Tottenham manager.
It’s stated that Tottenham really don’t want to miss out on Slot having snubbed the chance to land Erik ten Hag.
Spurs interviewed Ten Hag back in the summer of 2021 as they looked to replace Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham passed on Ten Hag though, preferring to appoint Nuno Espirito Santo instead.
You have to imagine that Levy and co somewhat regret that decision now.
Slot is emerging with a similar reputation to Ten Hag over in the Netherlands and Spurs want to make up for their error two years ago.

Arne Slot would bring attacking football to Tottenham Hotspur
Slot may not be the biggest name outside of the Netherlands but he has excelled as Feyenoord boss.
Plucked from AZ Alkmaar in 2021, Slot immediately guided Feyenoord into the Europa Conference League final.
Now in his second season, Slot is top of the Eredivisie table, set to win the title and took Feyenoord to the Europa League quarter-finals.
Slot has done all of this whilst playing a very attack-minded brand of football at De Kuip, even being called ‘ultra-attacking’ by Dutch journalist Marcel van de Kraan.
Feyenoord have lost just once in the Eredivisie this season and Slot will surely move on to even bigger and better things down the line.
Slot will only leave Feyenoord for the absolute right project though and Spurs may need to pull out all the stops to land him given the mess they find themselves in right now.
