According to Calciomercato, Tottenham have decided to sell Steven Bergwijn, and are happy to take a significant loss on the winger.
What’s the story?
Well, Spurs signed the Dutchman from PSV Eindhoven for £27m back in January 2020, although things haven’t exactly gone smoothly for him.
Bergwijn saw José Mourinho – the man who signed him – sacked back in April, and then watched as his replacement, Nuno Espirito Santo, was also sacked in November.
The 24-year-old has already had three managers at Tottenham in just over two years, which is hardly ideal – four if you include Ryan Mason.
Now, Calciomercato believe Antonio Conte is happy to sell him, with AC Milan keen to bring the forward to Italy.
The Italian news outlet state that Spurs would accept an offer of €18m (£15m), which would represent a £12m loss on their £27m investment.
So far this season, Bergwijn has scored just three goals in 19 appearances.
Tottenham decision could alert Newcastle

Back in January, 90min revealed that Newcastle were interested in signing Bergwijn, after being alerted to his availability.
Now the north Londoners have put a fairly reasonable £15m price tag on his head, Newcastle will presumably resurrect their interest.
£15m is nothing for Newcastle and their Saudi Arabian owners – it is mere pocket change for the richest club on the planet.

Therefore, don’t be surprised to see an offer arrive from the Magpies this summer – should they stay in the Premier League, that is.
Eddie Howe desperately needs attacking reinforcements, as Newcastle are far too reliant on Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems Bergwijn will be moving clubs this summer.
