Tottenham Hotspur and Everton reportedly want to sign the Ajax winger.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Tottenham are preparing to hijack Everton’s reported interest in Ajax winger David Neres, and are ready to pay up to €60 million (£54 million) for the Brazilian.
Both Spurs and the Toffees are believed to be keen on bolstering their attacking ranks this summer, and Neres, 22, would be just the ticket for either side.
The Brazilian winger enjoyed a fine campaign with Ajax last season, racking up 12 goals and 15 assists in 50 appearances in all competitions.
Italian publication Calcio Mercato claims that Everton are preparing to bid €50 million (£45 million) for Neres, but Tottenham are ready to trump that by offering €60 million (£54 million).
So the Merseyside outfit will likely have to up their offer for the winger, if they want to bring him to Goodison Park this summer.
And if both sides make the same offer, it will then be up to the Ajax ace to choose which side he wants to join.

Everton and Tottenham are both highly esteemed clubs, but as things stand, the north London outfit might just hold the advantage over their Premier League counterparts, considering the fact that they have Champions League football on offer.
Whichever club wins the race for his signature will have a real player on their hands, and it could be argued that the reported fee of £54 million would represent a real bargain, considering Neres’s quality and potential.
