Tottenham Hotspur staff think ‘very highly’ of Jack Clarke, even though he is yet to make an appearance under Jose Mourinho, according to ESPN.
Clarke was sent out on two loan spells after signing for Tottenham last summer, but failed to make much of an impact at either.
The youngster didn’t manage to break into Leeds United’s or QPR’s starting line-up, leading to concerns over whether he will be able to develop into a starter for Tottenham in the future.
Spurs are still said to admire Clarke’s ability despite his recent struggles though, which should give the youngster some confidence.
The London Evening Standard have actually said recently that Mourinho will give the 19-year-old a chance to prove his worth over pre-season.
Clarke has previously shown real flashes of quality at Championship level, which is what made Tottenham commit to purchase him.

However, he has proven to be a little too lightweight over the past year, and he will surely need regular first-team football again now.
Clarke has effectively had a year of his career where he has barely played, and Tottenham will need to make sure they select his next loan move carefully, if he does head out again this summer.
